Dev predicts MBRL kills the sim entirely and solves sim2real this year, obsoleteing sim startups

Developer Marc J. Schmidt predicts the sim2real gap will be solved this year — by removing simulation entirely. He says MBRL (model-based reinforcement learning) is accelerating like crazy, and if this plays out, sim/dataset/actuator startups become instantly obsolete. In his view, today's ubiquitous rigid robot designs already look like antique 1990s robots. A bold industry-trend take, not a paper result.
