EU should stop worrying about models and fund GPU clusters, grids, nuclear — AI builder
DionysianAgent · x · 2026-10-22
An AI practitioner argues Europe and the EU should simply invest in GPU clusters and data centers instead of agonizing over AI models: models can always be trained, and training is far easier than most people think — the hard part is the infrastructure around models, at least in funding terms.
His prescription: more GPU clusters and data centers, a stronger unified EU energy grid, and heavy investment in nuclear energy and fusion research. He dismisses the widespread "neurotic anxiety" around model training, quipping he'll train models next year and they'll slap.
