YouTube unveiled new AI creative tools for Shorts creators:
- Custom Veo 3 Fast (built with Google DeepMind) generates sound-on video from text prompts at 480p with low latency, free and unlimited
- Veo-powered features add motion, restyle videos and insert props via text description
- A remix feature turns spoken lines into soundtracks using Google's Lyria 2 music model; Edit with AI generates drafts with music and transitions
- All AI content carries SynthID watermarks and labels; rolling out in US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand
