eMAG's in-house AI shopping agent iZi drove 100M lei in 6 months

Romanian e-commerce giant eMAG reports its locally built AI shopping agent iZi facilitated over 100M lei in sales in its first 6 months, used by 900,000 shoppers — 1 in 6 site visitors interacted with it. Unlike general assistants, iZi works with real stock, prices and delivery times and drives users to checkout; 3 of 4 questions target specific products. The takeaway: small markets can't win the model race, but they can own the checkout by building the agent shoppers ask.
