Researcher warns of mass probing of internet-exposed PLC industrial control devices
basedjensen · x · 2026-10-22
Security researcher basedjensen warned on X that massive probing of PLC (programmable logic controller) devices is underway. He urged anyone with control boxes connected to the internet to verify — and if connected, "just pull the cable."
PLCs run industrial and infrastructure controls; exposed devices can have physical consequences if attacked, and such warnings typically signal scanning or attack campaigns ramping up.
