NVIDIA unveils Vera Rubin full-stack agent hardware, claims post-trained Nemotron beats frontier models

mervenoyann recaps Jensen Huang's NVIDIA keynote:
- NVIDIA built an end-to-end hardware stack for agentic workloads (Vera Rubin NVL72, Vera MID, Vera CDX, Vera RTX Pro) plus dedicated model families per task—self-driving, protein discovery, etc.—many currently SOTA.
- Slides showcased the "NVIDIA Agent Knowledge Foundation" and open model ecosystem, claiming NVIDIA leads open model contributions (Isaac, Earth-2, BioNeMo, Cosmos, GR00T and more).
- Post-training Nemotron for specific tasks reportedly surpasses frontier models; the author endorses this route—using frontier models for everything is overkill, and task-tuned smaller models are the most cost- and environment-friendly path for downstream adopters.
- New cards ship with sensors to monitor fleet usage.
