Cloudflare co-founder Matthew Prince shared exploitation stats for the #php2shell vulnerability: thousands of exploit attempts were observed across Cloudflare's network in the 10 hours before public disclosure, jumping to tens of thousands within 45 minutes of the announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now. The numbers highlight how automated exploitation has become and that attackers start scanning well before official disclosure.
