Anthropic has released Claude Duet, an always-on proactive AI assistant now in early research preview, available via waitlist to Pro and Max subscribers in the US.

- Proactive briefings: reviews progress every morning, drafts next steps, then stays quiet until something needs you
- Takes on large tasks: one message can set up a meeting or build a dashboard, and it reports back when done
- Continuous Claude experience: your memory, skills, and connected apps carry over into the same thread
- Safety-first design: sensitive actions like sending messages or payments require explicit approval; approvals and logins run in your own cloud computer, and you can see and steer everything it does
