Anthropic launches always-on personal agent Duet; two weeks in, tester ditches half his ChatGPT time
danshipper · x · 2026-10-22
Anthropic launched Claude Duet, an always-on personal agent the author calls the first "pro tool" of its kind after two weeks of testing—shifting his usage to roughly 50/50 between ChatGPT and Claude. Key points: it lives in its own app (iOS/Android/web) separate from Claude; organizes work into channels instead of one chat; has a persistent todo list with statuses; supports in-app document and slide editing. Limits: not yet a chief of staff—it can see Claude sessions but can't direct them, email drafts lag dot's, and voice is transcription-only. Includes a comparison table vs Dot, Gemini Spark, Grok Bot, Hermes Agent, Instinct, Muse, and OpenClaw.
