Anthropic launches Claude Duet, a proactive agent app that keeps working after you close it
Dr_Singularity · x · 2026-10-22
Anthropic opened a research preview of Claude Duet, an app that turns Claude into a proactive agent, with a waitlist starting for US Pro and Max subscribers on iOS, Android, and claude.ai.
Key details:
- Built on Claude Opus 5.5, runs on its own cloud computer, accepts text or voice instructions, and keeps working after you close the app
- Sends a morning brief across connected apps, monitors them all day, and messages you only when something needs attention
- Handles tasks from scheduling meetings to building dashboards with dozens of tools, financial/sales forecasts, prototyping, and web apps
- Checks with you before acting on your behalf; usage counts against existing Pro/Max limits
It targets professionals and small business owners juggling more decisions than they can track.
