Vantage Reserves Over 1GW of Heron Link Capacity for NVIDIA's 800 VDC AI Power Architecture

Data center operator Vantage has struck a gigawatt-scale manufacturing capacity deal with Heron Power Electronics, securing over 1GW of Heron Link solid-state transformer capacity for its hyperscale campuses.
- Heron Link, part of NVIDIA's 800 VDC MGX ecosystem, converts medium-voltage grid power directly to 800 VDC, integrating conversion, protection, distribution and energy storage in a single cabinet.
- Traditional multi-stage power delivery adds cost and complexity as AI rack densities approach megawatt-class requirements; fewer conversion stages simplify the path from grid to rack.
- The companies frame datacenters as flexible, reliable grid assets under this architecture.
