Kling 4.0 adds frame-by-frame directing with up to 10 keyframes per video
azed_ai · x · 2026-10-22
Kling 4.0 introduces keyframe-based directing: load a start frame, up to 8 middle frames, and an end frame, and the model generates the motion between them, landing on each image exactly as given.
- Keyframes decide where the video goes: locations, framing, subject state at each step
- The prompt decides how it gets there: transitions, camera moves, actions, sound; with no prompt Kling picks transitions itself
- Same keyframes with different prompts yield completely different videos
- The author shows several cases, ending with a simulation of a real commercial spot
