3 AI checks before booking hotels: cancel dates, real room counts, full totals

After pulling large amounts of live hotel rate data, the author shares three checks to delegate to AI before booking:
- Compare free-cancellation dates side by side: at ILUNION Barcelona, the same twin room was €135 with cancellation until the 8th vs €185 until the 6th — the later date was €50 cheaper, visible only when offers are listed together.
- Count real rooms, not listings: 48 rates at Warsaw's Nobu were really 7 rooms under different names and deals. Have AI group by bed, size, and view, showing only the best per room.
- Get one all-in total: of 2,702 Marrakesh rates analyzed, 45% carried a pay-at-hotel fee, and city tax display varied by site. Have AI compute the full-stay total including every tax and fee.
Honest limit: it only works with live data. Regular chats can't search across sites, so the author recommends Claude with connectors (Booking.com, Tripadvisor, LetsFG) and instructing it to say "I'm not sure" rather than invent numbers.
