Researcher Yingbo Zhou announced the release of Flint's first model after months of work, saying there's still a lot to improve but that's what makes the journey exciting. Stanford researcher Chenglei Si amplified the news, calling Zhou "a real legend" he learned pretraining from. Zhou previously worked at DeepSeek.
