Josh Tobin announced Flint from his company Recursive: a model designed for agentic coding running locally, on the bet that much everyday coding will move to models on your laptop or a nearby server.
A follow-up note adds the RSI team built the entire training pipeline from scratch and shipped the model in 4 months — described as one of the fastest ramps seen from a neo lab.
