kamathsblog · x · 2026-10-22
At day 1 of ROSCon UK at the Bay Centre in Edinburgh, the author ran into a real-life PR2 — the iconic two-armed mobile robot from the Willow Garage era that kickstarted the ROS ecosystem.
The photo shows the white PR2 in well-preserved shape, arms, head sensors and base intact, standing next to an office desk. Pure nostalgia for ROS veterans.
