Recursive SI, Richard Socher's new venture, has released Flint, its first model: a fast local coding model built from scratch in under 4 months by the company's automated research system, the Eureka Machine.
- Claims best-in-class fast local coding: 125+ tokens/sec on a MacBook Pro and 150+ on RTX Spark, up to 2x faster than comparable models
- Open weights are available now on Hugging Face, pitched as "private, unmetered intelligence on your own machine"
- In the thread, users are already asking about fine-tuning Flint on private codebases
