Computer security overhang: infinite free tokens will surface 100,000s of vulns
Afinetheorem · x · 2026-10-22
Afinetheorem amplifies CJ Handmer's preregistered prediction: the security overhang isn't a few dozen patchable bugs but 100,000s of vulnerabilities that become trivially discoverable with infinite free tokens, forcing a move away from systems that presuppose perfection.
He adds that today's safety, fraud prevention and many social interactions only work because of frictions — which intriguingly opens an obvious value-creation scope for "proof of human work".
