Artist argues AI founders wrongly frame art's difficulty as a solvable puzzle
pixlpa · x · 2026-10-22
Photographer pixlpa argues that tech founders openly frame the "difficulty" of art as a problem to be solved, challenging the idea that artists should have exclusive access to creation — as if artistic difficulty were a mathematical puzzle technology could dissolve.
He adds that art and technology have always been a tension between hard and easy: when tech makes something easy, artists find a way to make it difficult again, and new tech is invented to ease it — a cycle where sometimes one side moves faster.
