CT-Translate Model Ranks Immunotherapy Responders: 61% Response in Top Third vs 43% Baseline Across 451 Patients

CellType presents retrospective results for CT-Translate, a model predicting which patients will respond to immunotherapy:
- Across 5 published cohorts and 451 patients, baseline response rate was 43%
- Patients in the model's top-ranked third had a 61% observed response rate
- Every prediction was made by a model that never saw that patient, using five-fold cross-validation
The results suggest AI could help clinicians identify likely immunotherapy responders before treatment, improving effectiveness and reducing futile therapy.
