PowerShell + Jev decision model turns screenshots into Excel tables
dfinke · x · 2026-10-22
dfinke shares a workflow embedding an LLM in a PowerShell pipeline: take a screenshot from the clipboard → Jev (TypeSafe AI's decision model) checks whether a table exists and returns a bounding box → crop the table → an LLM extracts rows as JSON → ImportExcel exports to a spreadsheet.
The design principle: deterministic parts stay as code (clipboard, crop, export), while Jev only makes the decision and the LLM handles only what needs an LLM. Results stay in $result, so $result | sort Sales works directly in the pipeline.
