human.json: An OSS Spec Telling AI Agents How to Approach You Before They Reach Out
strickvl · x · 2026-10-22
ZenML founder Hamza Tahir released an open-source spec, human.json: a public file where people declare what they're open to, what they refuse (sales, marketing, recruiters), and how agents should approach them. Agents read the file before sending emails, DMs, or LinkedIn messages, and can leave feedback so you know who reached out and why.
The companion site humanjson.org lets anyone create and host a profile, with one-click editing via Claude Code or Codex. The motivation: agent outreach is about to scale massively, and this acts like a small note in your postbox.
