Claude reverse-engineered 4,052 Wilson TL;DRs to build open-source anti-AI-voice skills
BlackisBear · reddit · 2026-10-21
A Redditor used Claude to scrape 68,888 comments from the popular Wilson summary bot (4,052 TL;DRs) and extracted its craft: the verdict is bolded within two sentences 92% of the time, 87% quote a commenter, jokes live at the edges while the middle stays plain, median 180 words. Combining this with research on post-2023 AI style words and comedy theory, they built two open-source Claude skills: wilson-voice (with a linter failing any non-verbatim quote) and human-voice (a general de-AI-ifier with a 0-3 wit dial). Blind tests with model judges: the new version won 25/30 against the old, and both judges preferred its summary to Wilson's own on a real thread. Links to both GitHub repos included.
