Micron pitches co-design memory roadmap as key to meeting AI demand
BenBajarin · x · 2026-10-21
Analyst Ben Bajarin shared a Micron ($MU) investor-day slide arguing that memory co-design is the key commodity thinking misses. The slide lays out Micron's five-stage co-innovation pipeline for AI demand: Co-imagine (translate AI workloads into new memory architectures with customers), Co-design (optimize base die, DRAM, interfaces, power and packaging; AI design workflows with EDA vendors and foundry partners), Co-develop (new bonding, thermal, interconnect, IP, process; custom products with multiple CSPs), Co-validate across the ecosystem, then deliver at scale.
