Protein design investor-researcher Lucas Nivon praises David Baker's IPD lab for its "astonishing" ability to innovate from AI models to wet-lab validation, attributing much of it to Baker's skill in attracting top global talent to Seattle — "where they can just cook." Nivon supports the team through the OpenFold consortium.

The post is an industry reaction to the new RFD4-Proteina results: binders for phosphoserine and phosphothreonine, with site selectivity between adjacent histone H3 phosphorylation marks.
