Baker Lab and NVIDIA unveil RFD4-Proteina, a latent-reasoning protein design model
AllThingsApx · x · 2026-10-21
The Baker Lab (UW Institute for Protein Design) and NVIDIA GenAIR have released RFD4-Proteina, a new biomolecular design model built on latent reasoning, after a year-long collaboration.
- Designs protein sequences and all-atom structures jointly, conditioned on molecular context: binding targets, enzyme motifs, ligands, or structural features
- Author list includes David Baker, Frank DiMaio, Neil King, with Oxford and Tsinghua among 22 affiliations
- Paper and details are live on the project site
