NVIDIA drops 8 open model families at GTC Berlin, pitching sovereign AI for Europe
AllThingsApx · x · 2026-10-21
NVIDIA released 8 open model families at GTC Berlin, built for Europe to run on its own hardware: Nemotron 3.5 Super VL (multimodal agents, live now), Nemotron 3.5 Bolt (edge models, Oct 23), Nemotron Retriever (embeddings/reranking/parsing), Kumo (forecasting and fraud scoring), Cosmos 3.5 (world models for robots and self-driving), Alpamayo 2 Edge (real-time driving), BioNeMo RFD4-Proteina (protein design, reportedly 13x faster), and Ising (quantum calibration/error correction). Mistral, Black Forest Labs and H-Company helped build the Nemotron line. The pitch is sovereign AI: your data stays on your servers.
