Pro 3D artist pushes Claude Opus 5.5 to pro-grade models using 4 subscriptions for 2 weeks

A 3D modeler working since the early 2000s demonstrates what Claude Opus 5.5 can do with professional prompting, calling the results "absolutely insane."
Method:
- Simple prompts fail — 3D work needs iteration, measurements, references and precision
- Key trick: ask Claude to build its own tools first. Anything measurable can be recreated — e.g. feed it a base body mesh to study, measure and rebuild
- They even had AI build custom animation tools, since AI's workflow differs from humans' and button-based UIs are a blocker
- Cost: four 20x Max subscriptions running constantly for two weeks, including tool-building time
Results shown approach professional quality; the artist can easily hand-edit afterwards, and animation works given enough tries. They believe fully autonomous AI 3D pipelines aren't far off.
