LLM-Generated Exploit PoCs Spark Overnight Chaos: 'We Might Be the Ones Hallucinating Now'
Kyrannio · x · 2026-10-21
Security researcher John Hammond described a chaotic overnight storm: proof-of-concept exploits apparently generated by LLMs were shared publicly and privately, then analyzed by more LLMs — with no clarity on which exploit is "the" real one, all while hoping for defenses also built by LLMs.
Kyrannio quipped: "We used to be so concerned with robots hallucinating — at this point we might be the ones hallucinating ourselves." The episode highlights the verification crisis as AI enters both sides of offensive and defensive security.
