Meta's OverSeer uses fixed auxiliary camera views to stabilize multi-agent world models
meta · hf · 2026-10-21
Meta AI and University of Oxford introduce OverSeer, a multi-agent world model addressing the difficulty of generating temporally and inter-agent consistent video streams for multiple agents.
Approach
- Adds spatially fixed auxiliary camera views alongside egocentric agent views; unlike agent views, changes in these fixed views map directly to localized world-state changes, acting as a world-centric representation that substantially improves consistency.
- Exploits the redundancy of semi-static auxiliary views via a delta-VAE that encodes only changes relative to a static reference, cutting the token and compute overhead of processing them.
Results
Experiments in Minecraft and Doom show improved world and agent consistency, plus qualitative results on real-world multi-camera captures, indicating the method isn't tied to game engines.
