NVIDIA expands Confidential Computing with bare-metal option as Cohere and Google Cloud adopt GPU-rooted security
NVIDIA Blog · rss · 2026-10-21
NVIDIA introduced Confidential Bare Metal, letting frontier model builders run sensitive workloads on dedicated third-party infrastructure while retaining control of their software stack, with encryption in transit, platform integrity measurement and hardware-level access controls. Confidential Computing now spans three deployment modes—bare metal, Kubernetes containers and VMs—and extends to Grace Blackwell NVL72 racks and x86 HGX/DGX Rubin NVL8 systems. Cohere will integrate it into Model Vault to extend hardware-rooted security to the GPU, and Google Cloud is bringing it to A4X Max instances on GB300 NVL72. Major cloud and system partners are signed on, with DSX OS supporting all modes.
