CoEvo-RSI: NUS-led paper tackles brain-body mismatch in self-improving agents
Jiaqi Su · hf · 2026-10-21
Researchers from NUS, ASTAR and SenseTime introduce CoEvo-RSI, a paper on recursive self-improving (RSI) agents that targets the overlooked brain-body mismatch problem: an evolving harness demands behaviors its model never learned or restricts capabilities it already has.
The framework uses agent-driven bidirectional historical inheritance—a meta-agent coordinates harness design from an evolutionary archive and selects model checkpoints via execution feedback—aligning model capabilities with evolving harness requirements, with strong results achieved through supervised fine-tuning.
