WeCom integrates WorkBuddy: an AI employee that reads your chats, docs, calendars and email

Tencent's WeCom (企业微信) has integrated WorkBuddy, embedding an AI assistant into the sidebar and contact directory with one-click WeCom login. Within authorized scope it can read messages, files, calendars and email, pull WeDrive documents, and return generated content directly back into WeCom chats and workflows — eliminating the usual context re-feeding.
It can triage unread messages, summarize group chats into decisions and action items, analyze docs in a built-in browser, and manage schedules and email. Case studies include: a company consolidating multi-channel sales leads into WeCom smart sheets with automatic CRM sync; a top brokerage cutting report drafts from days to minutes; and a thermos maker using it for mold cost quoting and inventory reuse.
Enterprises keep control via existing WeCom org structure and permissions, with the AI onboarded like a new colleague in the directory.
