Satin: open-source React framework ships iPhone-native web apps straight from Safari
Scobleizer · x · 2026-10-21
Satin is an open-source React framework for building web apps that install from Safari on iPhone and iPad and feel native. Users tap Share → Add to Home Screen, and the app gets its own icon and opens full screen with no App Store review queue. Getting started is one command (npm create satin@latest), and the team showcases four demo apps: MusicAlbums with a glass-style mini player, ChatsThreads with an agent, locally-stored RemindersLists, and the Nimbus weather app.
