AI called a store for me — but no transcript means zero transparency, argues Allie Miller
alliekmiller · x · 2026-10-21
Allie Miller shared her experience using Instinct Concierge to have an AI call a Michaels craft store about a unicorn balloon. The first call hit voicemail; a retry reached a human, and the AI texted back the answer (only a round printed balloon, $33.99, 10-15 min for helium fill). But the service offers no transcript or recording — only a written summary — so she has no idea what the AI actually said, whether it was polite, or whether it shared her full name. She argues this zero transparency 'hides performance under the guise of privacy' and deprioritizes humans in AI-agent interactions.
