Anthropic's draft IPO filing: $16.3B H1 revenue, $80B net loss, $750B compute plans

WSJ reviewed Anthropic's draft IPO prospectus: H1 revenue jumped 15x from $1.1B to $16.3B, while compute and infrastructure spending rose from $2.3B to nearly $9B — revenue is scaling much faster than compute costs. The company posted an $80B net loss (vs $13B a year earlier), though largely reflecting an accounting adjustment tied to financing agreements. It has signed $450B in mostly noncancelable cloud contracts with another $150B under negotiation, and signaled it could spend up to $750B on compute in coming years. Risks include a narrow customer base and uncertain compute access; the company targets a $2T valuation.
