Meta releases Muse Glimmer, an open-weight model for on-device agents
TimDarcet · x · 2026-10-21
At Meta Connect, Meta introduced Muse Glimmer, an open-weight model designed to power local agents. FAIR's Maryam Fazel-Zarandi and Yoram Bachrach gave a deep-dive session covering architecture, benchmarks, and real-world deployments. Poster TimDarcet, who worked on it, says the team built a full training pipeline from scratch within months and calls it a promising start to a "second era of open-source at Meta." Talk and paper links included.
