Lawyer tip: don't just ask AI for answers, have it red-team your work and explain why
jkubicki · x · 2026-10-20
Legal tech practitioner jkubicki advises lawyers and law students: too many people use AI just to get the answer — exactly what research shows fails.
Instead, build a habit of periodically asking AI to red-team or steelman your work — attack your writing the way opposing counsel would, or build the strongest version of the other side's argument — and make it explain why. The "why" is where the learning happens: it reveals what you missed and how someone else would see it.
