Blender 5.3 natively supports Gaussian splats — but don't rotate them, or they turn fluffy

Blender 5.3 supports Gaussian splats natively — just drop your .ply file into the scene. Author @5agado is collecting cool combos with Geometry Nodes and basic shaders in a thread.
One key gotcha: due to the Gaussian splat formulation, you should not apply a rotation to the imported object — it will look fluffy (cool here, but an error). Adjust orientation at import time or via a proxy instead.
