HuggingFace CEO Slams Netflix's OpenAI Cyberattack Doc for Doomerism
anshulkundaje · x · 2026-10-20
Hugging Face CEO Clement Delangue criticizes Netflix's Instadocs film about the OpenAI cyberattack: despite his two hours of fact-checking, the doc went for "maximum anthropomorphism and full doomer mode." He says it omitted the lack of agent containment/monitoring, how closed-model safeguards blocked their defensive work, how they defended themselves with AI using an open model, and the ongoing need for agent transparency and corporate accountability. "It ends up being a fun sci-fi movie though!"
