MiniMax H3 video generation runs on a single RTX 3060 12GB via GGUF quantization
Ok-Inevitable8391 · reddit · 2026-10-20
A Reddit user built Q4-Q8 turbo GGUF quantizations of MiniMax H3 from unsloth base images and got video generation running on a single 12GB RTX 3060: 928p 9:16 3-second clips take about 23 minutes with Stable Diffusion, running two videos in parallel. ComfyUI can push to 1080p but PyTorch model loading makes it impractical (42 min).
Dynamic weight loading makes baking LoRA into the model increasingly important. Quantized models are on Hugging Face (udero/minimax-h3-turbo-gguf) with a full experiment writeup on the author's blog.
