DeepSeek fully open-sources its internal inference framework DeepInfer, supporting NVIDIA and Ascend

DeepSeek announced it is fully open-sourcing DeepInfer, the internal inference framework that powers its high-throughput, low-latency serving of V4.1 Flash at scale. New model inference code and optimizations will land there going forward.
- DeepInfer integrates high-performance kernels and a deeply optimized engine, supporting distributed inference, speculative decoding, SWA Bounded Replay, and structured output—compatible with both NVIDIA GPUs and Huawei Ascend.
- A production-grade token encode/decode component (deepseek-recipe) is released in lockstep with the official API, so community deployments behave identically.
The company frames inference efficiency as the hidden layer that determines AI service cost and energy use, aiming to make large-scale deployment cheaper for both private and cloud setups. Repos: github.com/deepseek-ai/DeepInfer, deepseek-recipe; technical report on Zhihu.
