Gecko Robotics announced its U.S. Navy contract has quadrupled to $300 million to improve fleet readiness. The company says its AI-powered robotic inspection can save up to $8 million in repair costs per ship and detect structural issues up to 50x faster than traditional methods, cutting inspection times from months to days. Lukas M. Ziegler called it one of the strongest public endorsements yet of operational AI and robotics in defense.
