Codex Cloud unusable on iPad: Safari 'DisposableStack' error and iOS server errors
mahyarasemani-coder · ghdev · 2026-10-19
A user filed an issue against openai/codex reporting Codex Cloud is unusable from an iPad, with two distinct errors:
- Safari on chatgpt.com: submitting a prompt immediately fails with Can't find variable: DisposableStack
- ChatGPT iOS app: short read-only prompts or retries fail instantly with Codex server returned an error
Environment: iPadOS 26.7.1, active ChatGPT Plus with usage limits not exhausted; both GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Luna fail identically. First observed October 19, 2026. Conversation history is viewable, but existing Cloud tasks cannot be resumed, and the reporter notes there is no actionable diagnostic or safe recovery path.
