Agent sessions re-learn your project every time: devs flag recurring token waste
tekbog · x · 2026-10-20
Developer seriousmehta complains that coding agents have to re-learn an entire project from scratch at every new session, burning tokens repeatedly — and AGENTS.md doesn't fix it since it's hard to keep updated and still costs tokens.
tekbog replies recommending clankercloud: agents can connect via MCP or auth login, with data export available. He adds that the service offers memory, RSI and ontology that grow over time, plus optional ZDR (zero data retention), though it currently costs $50/month and edge-case bugs remain.
The exchange highlights that persistent agent memory/project context is still an unsolved pain point.
