Midjourney founder David Holz asked a swarm of AI models (Fable 5.1, GPT-6 Astra, Gemini 4, Grok 4.7, DeepSeek V4 Pro; 3 runs each, n=15 per item) to score major AI labs and leaders on three axes: YOLO, FAFO, and FOMO.
Highlights from the scatter plots:
- xAI / Elon Musk sits alone in the high-YOLO, high-FAFO corner on every chart
- Midjourney itself clusters with DeepSeek, Nvidia, and Liang Wenfeng in the low-FOMO quadrant — no anxiety, own pace
- Microsoft, Google, Amazon land in high-FOMO, low-YOLO territory, the classic big-tech anxiety zone
- OpenAI / Sam Altman lean high-YOLO with moderate FOMO; Anthropic and Dario Amodei score low on both
- Holz placed himself on the charts, nearly overlapping Midjourney.
