Umbrel app hits Windows: auto-discovers devices, mounts self-hosted cloud in File Explorer
JosephJacks_ · x · 2026-10-20
Umbrel announced its desktop app is now available on Windows. Like the Mac version, it automatically discovers Umbrel devices on your network, mounts shared folders as network drives in File Explorer — "the only cloud in File Explorer you actually own" — and supports remote access via Tailscale, with connections available through local hostname, LAN IP, or Tailscale IP.
