Googler open-sources repo-walkthrough skill that turns any codebase into an interactive architecture site and narrated MP4
ykdojo · x · 2026-10-20
ykdojo shared his first public project at Google: repo-walkthrough, an Agent Skill (SKILL.md format) that turns any code or code diff into an interactive visual explainer to help you review PRs.
Key points:
- Two output modes: website generates an interactive page showing the repo's architecture layer by layer, where you can click any file or connection to inspect its role and code, with step-by-step voice narration; video additionally exports an MP4 that zooms into each layer and highlights files as they're explained.
- Packaged as a standard Agent Skill compatible with Antigravity, Claude Code, and any agent supporting Agent Skills (agentskills.io); the repo's examples were generated with Gemini.
- Open-sourced under GoogleCloudPlatform/devrel-demos with docs, examples, scripts, tests, and a --check-prereqs script for local environment checks.
