First-of-its-kind superconducting brain-inspired chip analyzes 1M fusion plasma samples per second
Dr_Singularity · x · 2026-10-20
US researchers have built the first superconducting, brain-inspired chip (fabricated by Great Sky in Colorado) that processes 1 million fusion plasma samples per second, detecting anomalies and predicting instabilities fast enough to potentially enable real-time control of future fusion reactors. A 10x larger version is in development for testing in 2027.
