uv's scaling pain: complex resolutions explode the intermediate DNF, clause comparison gets expensive
charliermarsh · x · 2026-10-20
Closing the thread: while uv's old approach (collecting true-paths into an unsimplified DNF, then comparing clauses) worked for small markers, complex resolutions could produce a huge intermediate DNF, making clause-to-clause comparisons expensive — the motivation behind tackling the minimal-equivalent-DNF problem.
